| Lynn M. Oliver Area No. 5 Term Expires: 2012 | Lynn Oliver was appointed to the Placer County Board of Education in August, 2008 and elected to a full term as Area 5 representative in November, 2009.
Mrs. Oliver graduated from Vassar College. She received her teaching credential and Masters Degree in education from New York University. Mrs. Oliver taught at both the elementary and secondary levels in New York City before relocating in California. Mrs. Oliver served on the Alta Dutch Flat School Board for 16 years. Mrs. Oliver, currently a real estate broker, lives in Gold Run with her husband, Douglas Oliver. She has 3 children: Ryan, a corporate attorney, Katelin a middle school teacher, and Chase, a senior at UC Davis.
As a board member, Mrs. Oliver is committed to ensuring a quality education for every child in Placer County. She supports PCOE’s efforts to provide services for each district, sound fiscal governance, staff development, innovative programs, and strong vigorous leadership.
