Placer County Office of Education offers a variety of resources and professional development opportunities for teachers and Career Technical Education (CTE) programs for students enrolled in our local school districts and charter schools. Some of these programs are also available to adults.
Business Education Leadership Project (BELP): Provides technical assistance, resources, information and professional development events for Business and Marketing teachers.
Capital Region Academies for the Next Economy (CRANE): The mission of CRANE is to provide students in Placer County and the surrounding communities in the Capital Region with rigorous academic and career pathways, which are linked to economic and labor market needs and trends, thus helping students become the leading entrepreneurial workforce for the next economy.
Career Technical Education Incentive Grant (CTEIG): The California Career Technical Education Incentive Grant (CTEIG) is a state education, economic, and workforce development initiative with the goal of providing students with the knowledge and skills necessary to transition to employment and postsecondary education.
CTE Work-based Opportunities for Real Knowledge and Skills (CTE WORKS): CTE WORKS (formerly 49er ROP) is a Regional Occupation Program offering the opportunity to explore and prepare for careers and college, learn valuable skills, and in some courses, participate in an internship. Sponsored by local school districts and the Placer County Office of Education, CTE WORKS brings education and business together, with the common goal of delivering excellent training and opportunities to educate and prepare the future workforce of Placer County.
