​ Student Learning Experiences

  • Emergency medical training such as:
            Bleeding and shock
            Behavioral emergencies
            Airway management; respiratory, cardiac, & diabetic emergencies
            Assessment of trauma and/or medical patient
            Poisoning and overdose assessment
            Allergic reactions
            Lifting and moving patients
            Environmental emergencies
            Soft tissue and skeletal injuries
            Pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric assessment
  • Fundamentals of Firefighting:
            Fire behavior and extinguishment theory
            Wildland fire operations
            Use of equipment (hoses and appliances, ground ladders, ropes)
            Fire protection and safety
