Quality Standards Video

The California Department of Education - Expanded Learning Division's (CDE- EXLD) six Quality Standards in Action Videos are now accessible on the CDE - YouTube Channel (with closed captioning option for viewers).


The purpose of these videos is to provide a visual display to guide programs from a practical view point. Each video will range from 3-5 minutes and will highlight the characteristics of a Point-of-Service Quality Standard(s).  The Quality Standards for Expanded Learning in California are a set of 12 standards used to describe high levels of "Quality" of a program at the programmatic, staff, and participant levels, and can be found on the CDE – EXLD Web site under the heading Quality Standards for Expanded Learning in California.

ASAP Connect provides professional development and creates partnerships between after school programs and assistance providers to support program quality. The ASAP Directory offers information about technical assistance strategies and access to providers.

California After School Network helps to chart the course for California’s after-school programs by providing information and resources, including fact sheets, regional support, current legislation, publications, and cutting-edge research for program development and improvement.

California School Age Consortium has a long history of providing free, on-site, customized training for afterschool providers through their statewide network of trainers.
