Pathways Charter - iLearn Academy's Mission Statement
The iLearn Academy staff and families form a partnership to create a positive, safe environment which encourages students to reach their potential, develop a passion for learning and believe that anything is possible. About Us
100% homeschool their Kindergarten through 8th grade students or enroll students in our Hybrid Academy program—a 3-day/week plus 2 day/week homeschool option. We believe that each student has unique gifts, goals and interests which can supported and nurtured by a whole-child approach supporting and celebrating each student’s unique gifts! It is a pleasure to welcome you to the Placer County Office of Education’s Charter school, Pathways Charter - iLearn Academy, serving families who choose to
The iLearn Academy began in August of 1990 and was a forerunner in providing an alternative to the traditional education setting. The Placer County Office of Education recognizes and values parent choice, as well as believing in homeschooling as a viable educational option. Since 2013, the program added another program: a 3-day/week classroom option plus 2 days/week of homeschooling. We appreciate that some of our families may choose to enroll students in a more consistent classroom experience, while still partially homeschooling their children. This has expanded the positive learning opportunities to meet the various needs of our families.
Students and their families are the focus of our program. We recognize that you, the parents, are your children’s first teachers, and you are the expert where your children are concerned! It is our sincere desire and commitment to develop a collaborative partnership towards successfully educating your children. The iLearn teaching staff consists of highly qualified educators who understand and believe alternative educational options can be a better fit for many children. Our teachers will work to support and supplement your home schooling experience (whether 100% homeschooling or the hybrid program) through regular communication, enrichment classes, field trips, special events, and a wide variety of curriculum choices.
We are grateful that you are considering us as a choice for your children’s school! We look forward to being a part of your children’s educational journey!
