​What benefits does PCOE offer?

​Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, tax sheltered annuity, and STRS/PERS contribution. Specific information regarding plans and costs are provided once an offer of employment is made. The following health plans are currently available to choose from:

  • Sutter Health Plus HMO
  • Sutter Health Plus HMO High-Deductible Plans ($1,500/$3,000 and $2,500/$5,000)
  • Western Health Advantage HMO
  • Western Health Advantages HMO High-Deductible Plans ($1,800/$3,600 and $2,800/$5,600)
  • Kaiser Traditional Plan (chiropractic and vision included)
  • Kaiser High Deductible Plan ($2,000/$4,000)
  • Health Net HMO
  • Health Net PPO High-Deductible Plans ($1,300/$2,600; $2,250/$4,500; $5,000/$10,000) - Only for employees who work or live out of the service area of Sutter Health Plus or Western Health Advantage may continue to be enrolled in the Health Net benefit plan.
  • Delta Dental and VSP (Vision Service Plan)
  • Long-Term Disability offered by The Hartford
  • Health Savings Account (HSA)
  • Flexible Spending Account (125 Plan)

What is the current medical cap?

​The current medical cap for the 2018-2019 school year for all Classified employees is $750.00 per month, which is applied to the health plan that is selected. The current medical cap for 2018-2019 for all other employees (Management, Confidential, Certificated, and Unrepresented) is $750 per month for employee only, and $834 per month for Employee + Spouse, Employee + Child(ren), or Employee + Family.
