Classified School Employees of the Year

Each year, the Placer County Office of Education honors six Classified School Employees of the Year who best symbolize the profession's contributions and commitment to quality education. Honorees are then eligible to participate in the state program facilitated by the California Department of Education. Learn more about the statewide program at https://www.cde.ca.gov/ta/sr/cl/.

“It takes an entire school community to ensure our students are ready for college, career and life,” said Superintendent Gayle Garbolino-Mojica. “As the Placer County Superintendent of Schools, I am honored to recognize these amazing individuals for their commitment and contribution in making Placer County gold in education.”

This year, 39 classified school employees from all across the county were nominated from their respective districts in the following categories: Child Nutrition; Maintenance, Operations and Facilities; Office and Technical; Para-Educator and Instructional Assistance; Support Services and Security; and, Transportation. Nominees were judged on work performance, school community involvement, leadership and commitment.
