Colleen Slattery

Assistant Superintendent, Human Resources


Colleen Slattery has over 25 years of experience with public Kindergarten through Twelfth grade education. Ms. Slattery is currently Assistant Superintendent, Human Resources, for the Placer County Office of Education.  Prior to coming to PCOE, she was an Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources, Director of Personnel Services, Principal, Vice Principal, and Middle School teacher in various Placer County School Districts.  Ms. Slattery is a past President of the Placer County Charter of Association of California School Administrators (ACSA).

Ms. Slattery was named Placer County Teacher of the Year in 2000-2001.  In 2010-2011, she was named the ACSA Personnel and Human Resources Administrator of the Year for both Placer County Charter and Region 2.  Ms. Slattery holds a B.A. degree in Liberal Studies and an M.A. in Educational Administration from California State University, Sacramento.  She is currently a doctoral student with Brandman University focusing on Organizational Leadership.

Ms. Slattery strives to support and develop all employees.  Serving both PCOE employees and those in all Placer County School Districts to maintain positive and productive work and school environments is her top priority.
